Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Lately I have been really enjoying Springfield, MO's Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Their latest record, 2008's Pershing, reminds me a lot of The Shins and Elliott Smith. The band's website is unfortunately sparse, but you can hear the leadoff superhooky track "Glue Girls" on their MySpace page. The album isn't as consistently awesome as that song, but it still is a strong effort if you're looking for another mild but pleasant indie pop offering with some good lyrics and great melodies.

Here's a live version of "Glue Girls."
