Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

I'm getting all atwitter for this weekend Sub Pop 20 festival, which will spread its proverbial wings across the region beginning on Friday. I just know this thing is gonna be spectacular. And how could it not be, given the massive lineup?

To kick off the weekend is Friday night's comedy fest at the Moore Theatre. That night, following the comedy, there's a free 21+ show at Neumo's with Les Thugs and Death Vessel.

And then there's the zenith: the mega-packed two-day festival at Marymoor Park on Saturday and Sunday, with more bands than I can even try to list here. Check out the full lineup.

Armed with the advanced schedule and prepping for long days in the Seattle sun, I feel primed for what I may witness. But I just know there are going to be some unexpected amazingly great sets, and I'm hopeful a few surprise guests and impromptu reunions will join the mix. I can hardly contain myself!

I can't make it out on Friday night, but I'm sufficiently content with the anticipation of what will go down at Marymoor. Fortunately, it looks like this is a festival where all the acts can be seen rather than having to pick between a few playing simultaneously. Full schedule, as listed on Sub Pop's site, follows. My picks shown in bold.
