Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Apples in Stereo New Magnetic WonderWe here at imaginary headquarters are quite jazzed to have the Apples in Stereo in town tonight. We've been using their album, New Magnetic Wonder as 'get up and go' music for weeks now. The song "Can You Feel It?" really tears up the pre-coffee rug in the mornings. There's no telling what's going to happen when they launch into at the show tonight. Not to mention the song "Energy," which makes listeners repeat the line "And the world / is made of energy" at least 40 times in a row. It's true–catchy, happy songs result in a repetitive action.

It will be exciting to see how the Apples translate the album's heavy duty ELO influence live. I just hope the person manning the lights tonight are ready to kick it disco style! It's going to be an all-ages Apples dance party!
