Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

OK, I am no Chris Robinson sympathist, but this is kind of ridiculous. The beacon of human culture that is Maxim magazine recently ran a review of the new Black Crowes album, Warpaint, giving it a paltry 2.5 stars out of 5. Well, the problem lies in the fact that, apparently, Maxim nor the review's writer could have even heard the album yet. Yes, advance copies don't even exist and the Black Crowes' manager says Maxim told him they took an "educated guess". Yes folks, an "educated guess" on the contents of an entire album. Pitchfork, the bar is raised.
