For those of you who don't keep up with world politics (shame on you), Australia recently booted its conservative government in favor of a new liberal (Labour) government, meaning Kevin Rudd became prime minister. And thanks to that, the new Environment Minister is none other than Peter Garrett, lead singer of Midnight Oil. Garrett is a member of parliament for the Labour Party and has always been an activist for environmental and aboriginal issues.

Yes, he will be the face (and bald head) of Australia when it comes to global warming and the Kyoto Protocol!
