Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Tonight at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard, join local musician (and local music advocate) Levi Fuller to celebrate the release of Ball of Wax 12 (yes, TWELVE!).

For those of you not in the know, the Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly is a compilation that highlights up-and-coming, under-the-radar from the Northwest and beyond. This compliation has artists from the furthest regions yet, featuring bands from Ireland and the Basque Country, as well as the usual smattering of Seattle and Portland goodies.

Volume 12 features songs by Ryan Dolliver, Poland, Jack Shriner, Grumpy Bear, Peter Verdoes, Brittain Ashford, Jack Barnett, Jeremy Burk, Ken Cormier, Darryl Blood, Levi Fuller, Sabertooth, Meyercord, The Crying Shame, Kate Tucker & the Sons of Sweden, Origami Ghosts, Devoirs, Music for Dead Birds, The Audience, Lord God Bird, and a.w.feldt.

To celebrate the release, the party is going on TONIGHT starting at 8p, for the low, low price of only six smackers — and that even gets you a copy of the CD. Good times, great bargains! Head on down there and buy Levi a beer for all his hard work, and enjoy performances from:

  • Jeremy Burk
  • The Crying Shame
  • Origami Ghosts
  • Poland
  • Ryan Dolliver
  • Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden
  • Peter Verdoes
  • Jack Shriner
  • Devoirs
