The American: I’ve heard many different things about this film and they all conflict with each other so I’m extra curious now and really want to see it.  A US-made thriller about an assassin hiding out in Italy that reportedly feels very European sounds appealing—and also like it could be really, really boring.  But being that I’ll watch any movie with Italian scenery, and that George is severely easy on the eyes, I’ll give it a shot.

United States of Tara, Season 2: I admit, I wasn’t sold on this in the beginning. The first season was clunky and kind of awkward, but it really shines in the second. We finally start to see some deep cracks in seemingly perfect husband Max’s (dreamy John Corbett) shining image as Tara’s personalities (man, is Toni Collette GOOD) wreak some serious havoc; they’ve fleshed out the kids’ and sister’s (love this actress!) stories more, and the whole thing just seems a lot more believable—even when it’s totally crazy. I really love this show now, and can’t wait until the third season starts, and I’ll even go so far as to say it might be the best thing Diablo Cody has ever done.
