Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

If Noah and the Whale song "Five Year's Time" doesn't make you beam and dance and clap your hands, then you, dear sir or madam, are a monster.

This is breezy, charming indie-pop at its finest. Ukeleles and handclaps and sing-song male/female vocals abound, and the band manages to chant  "Sun Sun Sun" and "Love Love Love" and not come off as insipid. I am madly in <3<3<3.

According to their MySpace page, Noah and the Whale are touring all over the UK for the better parts of April and May. I see no US dates at this time, but maybe if we clap our hands and wish really hard, they will come stateside and to the West coast.

This song fills me with endless optimism, so I feel hopeful that they will.
