Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

You know that Grammy winning artist your parents love? The one you love, too? No, you might not admit it upfront, but that copy of Feels Like Home you stole from your dad's Volvo says everything you're not.

Well, now it just got a little cooler to like Norah Jones. Or at least her side-project, El Madmo. They just signed to Conor Oberst's label, Team Love, home to the likes of Jenny Lewis, Tilly & the Wall, and Gruff Rhys.

Is it a publicity stunt, or is it a legitimate escape from the clutches of adult contemporary? My vote's the latter.

The self-titled release is due out May 20th. In the meantime, hear it for yourself on El Madmo's MySpace page.
