Three Imaginary Girls

While y'all have been scouring the interwebs for dirt on Paris Hilton's slammer days, I just found an entertainment story I'm much more interested in: that gay-slurring dude from Grey's Anatomy has been fired!

ABC has dropped Isaiah Washington (Dr. Preston Burke) from the cast of Grey's Anatomy with immediate effect.

Washington's future on the hit drama had been uncertain since a widely-publicised incident in which he referred to fellow cast member T.R. Knight (Dr. George O'Malley) with an anti-gay slur during an on-set fracas with Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek Shepherd) in October 2006. Washington compounded the problem by denying he used the word – and then repeating it – during a backstage chat with reporters at the Golden Globe Awards in January.

In a statement, Washington's publicist confirmed that the actor was "not invited back to the show next season."

The article doesn't expressly state that the reason for his dismissal is his assy-ness, but it sure sounds that way. Props to ABC for not letting that one slide!
