Telekinesis 12.27.08

There are many reasons I love Telekinesis.

It could be the awesome songsmithing of drummer/lead singer Michael Benjamin Lerner . It could be the fact that the band has a songsmith lead singing drummer. It could be that incredibly cute red fabric rose the songsmith lead singing drummer wore when they performed a hook-laden sweet set at the TIG Holiday Spectacular last December.

Not sure which of those reasons is at the top of the list today, but the sum of the parts makes it imperative that you head to Neumo's to see them tonight when they play with Ra Ra Riot and Cut Off Your Hands (it's all ages).

And if you want a sneak peak at the TK wonder, check out Michael's recent One Shot at the Croc performance.

Of course, there are other things you could do tonight (per the TIG Calendar)… what do you have planned?

  • Bill Frisell-Russell Malone, Triple Door
  • Hurricane Lanterns/Flatpack, Sunset Tavern
  • ReVamp/Deathbed Repentance/Romance, El Corazon*
  • Dirty Heads & Mishka/Puget Sound System/DJ 100 Proof, Nectar
  • Lie Detector/Tyler Clark/Boxcar Rebellion/Chris Wise, High Dive
