Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Sub Pop!Given the current state of the economy, an opportunity to get a little free money is always welcome news. And who needs this money more than college students interested in careers in the arts?

Seattle's own Sub Pop Records understands the plights of this struggling class, and is therefore offering a total of $13,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors in Washington state. This is the third year that Sub Pop is offering this scholarship, and as a graduating senior myself, I can't thank them enough!

The competition is going to be fierce. Last year's grand prize winner, Matt Bade, is a male ballerina who made an appearance in the Shins' music video for "New Slang."

To be eligible students must be a resident of Washington or Oregon, and plan on attending an accredited college or university full time next year.

Sub Pop is looking for students who show interest and involvement in music and the arts, so if this sounds like you visit the website here and find out what you need and where to send it!
