The Noise for the Needy benefit shows start tonight!
All of the 13 showcases benefit Rise nā Shine, an organization that provides emotional support programs, advocacy, and mentoring for children and teens affected by HIV and AIDS.
Have you marked your calendar for each night? There's so much to choose from. Of course, I am counting down to the Okkervil River show on Sunday night… but along the way, there's lots of local bands that are must sees! Check out the full schedule and plan your life accordingly.
Also of Noise for the Needy note, they have an online auction to raise funds from those of us that enjoy participating from the comfort of our internet cafe. There's a bunch of neat prize packets to bid on… including a couple with imaginary prizes. The auction runs through Friday June 8th, so bid often/soon.
Rock Star Extravaganza
Here's your chance. Opening slot on a Wednesday bill at Nectar Lounge, an opening slot on a Thursday bill at the Comet, a write up on the Three Imaginary Girls website, the chance to record your new hit single at Hercules Studio! At this rate you'll be playing the Tacoma Dome in no time! The perfect present for the skinny rocker in your life. ~ Opening night slot on a Thursday at the Comet Tavern, performance review on the TIG website, four (4) hours of recording at Hercules Studio. Comet and Nectar dates of show will be based on a mutually agreeable date. Recording time not available until September, 2007 and must be scheduled. Must be 21+. Coordinate through Noise for the Needy.
