Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

The Stranger's music blog, Line Out, has caused quite a stir this week with the whole Atlas Clothing all-ages venue controversy, but this afternoon they've amused and delighted me with their some of their recent blog posts:

  • THE POGUES are coming to Seattle!!!
Yes, with Shane McGowan! Holy effing shite, the Pogues in Seattle!!!! Needless to say, I'm surprised and thrilled. The shows are scheduled at the Fenix for Oct 17-18th. Better start drinking now to build up that tolerance!
  • Eddie Argos does Beth Ditto
No, not like that. I mean, NME had a little fun with Art Brut frontman Eddie Argos, posing him in the controversial Beth Ditto nudie pose from a few weeks back. If this doesn't make you crack up (and/or make you feel a wee bit uncomfortable), check for a pulse…

  • Megan hearts BOAT!
As I'm sure you've heard by now, TIG is presenting not one but TWO shows this weekend to celebrate our 5th birthday… and also to celebrate the release of the brand spanking new BOAT record, Let's Drag Our Feet. Megan made a nice little blog post to mark the release of the record and had some kind words to say, with the promise of a full review later this week. Can't wait to check it out!

Thanks for the laughs and the BOAT props, Line Outters!
