Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

TIG's sixth anniversary party and tribute to Liz Phair's a-freaking-amazing debut album Exile in Guyville, Exile in {Imaginary} Girlville, is now only eight days away!

Today's countdown item is all about Team Gina. We (and I in particular) have written so much about Ginas Bling and Genius you'd think they were the Fleet Foxes. Well, they do have better beats and rhymes and a better wardrobe and are just a lot more fun.

Today is the release of their brand new album Products of the Eighties (Don't Stop Believin' Records) and their CD release is at the War Room.

AND – we're hosting an exclusive mp3 from Products: "Emergency"

I hear that two other blogs are also hosting songs (Seattle Sound Magazine and Reverb) but I couldn't find them early, early this morning. Check them later today for more TG goodness.

Catch Team Gina and eight more of our Northwest favorites (including Throw Me the Statue, M. Bison, Lucy Bland, Tea Cozies, Star Anna, Tennis Pro, Visqueen, and Lesli Wood of Ms. Led) at Exile in {Imaginary} Girlville at Chop Suey on Wednesday, June 25. Doors at 8pm, 21+, $8 adv. through Ticketweb.

{Another Team Gina post means another excuse to put up another one of Kyle Johnson's press photos.}
