Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

The Gong Show!Glory be to the folks at The Stranger who have their finger on the pulse of the ‘wacky talented people’ in our community and the organization skills to rally them together in the name of the Gong! (I said GONG, not… well, you know.)

'm not sure how much folks out there remember the TV's original Gong Show, but I'm guessing The Stranger folks are going to take it up more than just a notch. Folks used to think that pouring raw eggs in your pants was funny. I can't wait to see what our talented Seattle-ites are going to showcase tonight.

Performers sign up tonight at 7 pm. The rules include: No fire, no kids. Acts must be between 45 seconds and four minutes long and require less than two minutes' setup. Among the amazing prizes: extravagant Sasquatch, Bumbershoot, and Block Party privileges—and cash!

To get in the mood, I've started watching portions of the original Gong Show… and, truthfully, I can't stop.
