Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

We just got some exciting news from Visqueen frontwoman Rachel Flotard that made us so giddy, we're gonna share it with you here, word for word. Word!

Dudes, babes, & peeps of our loins,

A few spring quickies:

  • Visqueen's playing an unadvertised show at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle this Friday 5/11.
    Count on some songs from the new record and welcome our fave abductee to the line up, Mr. Barrett Jones. Though Barrett is usually stalked by historians for his work with Nirvana and Foo Fighters, he was in fact, head dirtbag behind our first record, King Me. Watch him hustle and sing his nards off.
  • Sasquatch! Music Festival.
    We'll be roasting on Saturday May 26th with Sarah Silverman and the rest o' the indie nerds. We're on somewhere around 4. There were no utensils at medieval times, therefore there ARE no utensils at medieval times. {official website}
  • Rachel hits Arizona next week on Jon Rauhouse tour!
    May 17th, 18th, 19th are pedal-steel/hawaiian guitar/torch-song holiday. Neko Case, Kelly Hogan, Sally Timms and I are on his new record, Steel Guitar Heart Attack {review}. PLEASE visit Jon's MySpace page. He's 100 and doesn't know how to use a computer and needs love. Shows are listed on our sites. If you're within driving distance, Jon and his gang are nothing short of f*cking amazing.
  • VQ music has been bubbling up in new places.
    You can hear Visqueen on the web series "PROM QUEEN" from Michael Eisner’s new independent production studio Vuguru. as well as MTV's new film, "I Remember Chloe" which debuts on June 3rd. Chloe's characters have MySpace pages.
