Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

All the hubbub about the Subpop 20th Birthday celebration almost made me forget that this Saturday one of my favorite bands (who's release Albatross… was one of the best albums of 2007) is going to be in town this Saturday night at the Sunset Tavern!

That's right, while folks are watching the Vaselines on the east side (I can't wait to hear all about it!), I'll be giddily singing along to Denton, TX's Fishboy in Ballard. The show starts at 10p (you should be able to get a table at the very popular Oxiacan place next door by that time) and also features feisty performances by my other two favorite bands, Tullycraft and BOAT.

As D. Crane wrote on the BOAT blog, "It will be an amazing night of sweaty pop music. It is also Fishboy's only West Coast show."

If you can't make it to the Sunset, or just need to make sure you get your fill, Eric Fishboy and D Crane (BOAT) will be performing a free acoustic set (with special guests) at 4p on Saturday by the Fremont Troll.

Still not sure? Here's a prime example of their talent for crafting catchy indie-pop songs. Convinced?:
